Synopsis

Shelly is a tough as nails Superintendent. A mundane day at work turns into a nightmare when she's confronted with her boyfriend's betrayal and must deal with Marvin, a pesky tenant. Marvin challenges Shelly to a boxing match, inciting her to wake up to her brutal reality. Shelly fights with all her might and finally reveals the truth of her toxic relationship. Awakened, she leaves behind a place and life that no longer serve her.

Director's Statement

"The Main Event" is a story about love disguised as conflict. I wanted to explore what happens when two people who speak the same language can no longer understand each other—and whether a single night can change that.
